 Chowrasta Market is one of Penang’s oldest, dating back to the mid-19th century, and still one of its liveliest morning markets. Located in George Town’s picturesque old downtown, the market is still very accessible to tourists or visitors whilst retaining its very local characteristics.

Chowrasta Market has been undergoing restoration for several years since 2012. The restoration of the rear-side of the market was completed in 2015, with full restoration completed in January 2017.

This is what Chowrasta Morning Market, in Penang, Malaysia looks like. Almost all the locals who live in Georgetown, comes here to get their daily cooking materials and other household items. Even the morning hawker does his grocery shopping here.

  Surau Langgar Rindu (Musolla) (Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia) This surau located in Kampung Rhu Tapai, Merang, Kuala Terengganu was built to be immortalized as a house of worship for the local community as well as a stopover for those who travel to perform prayers. This 1,064 square foot surau actually belongs to an art activist named Encik Arif Karimi, who is 60 years old plus a poet as well as an art activist . Wasted tembesu tree wood as well as cengal wood donated by the public are used as the basic building material of this creation which is simply fastened and connected using screws. More amazingly, the construction work of the surau was built without any sketch of the plan started since March 2014 and is now complete. It was formerly known as the City Hall of George Town (Dewan Bandaraya George Town), when George Town attained city status.  Since 1 January 2015, it houses the head office of the Penang Island City Council, and is known as the Penang Island City Hall or Dewan Bandaraya Pulau Pinang. Goddess Of Mercy Temple (Penang, Malaysia) The Goddess Of Mercy temple is also known as Kuan Yin Teng – is a place of pride and divine protection. It is the oldest temple in Penang, built way back in 1728 by Chinese immigrants, it was originally named Kong Hok Keong Temple and initially meant for hosting of social functions.
