Perdana Botanical Garden (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)



A beautiful garden in the heart of city. The Perdana Botanical Garden, formerly known as Taman Tasik Perdana or Lake Gardens, is situated in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It has been a part of the green lung of the city and has a history of over a decade. Originally created as part of a recreational park but planted with collections of tropical plants, the garden have been rehabilitated and turned into a Botanical Garden. The garden have not only botanical collections but also house features that give the visitors the ambiance of being in a tropical rainforest, despite being in the middle of a bustling metropolis.




There are various activities here for everyone, no matter what age you are in. A nice serene lakeside for joggers, cycling trail for bikers, gardens of many varieties of the flora and fauna lover, big playground for the children, benches by the lakeside and ample green carpeted grounds for family picnic, a huge playhouse for kids and the young at heart, and many more. Definitely an excellent place for nature lovers to spend time in.


There is also a deer park, a panggung, a comic gallery, etc. in the grounds of the garden, and not to mention, other attractions like the national planetarium, bird park, orchid garden and many more in the vicinity. Make time to spend a day of leisure here and enjoy nature in the city.


Aside from the gardens, the Perdana Botanical Gardens are highly frequented due tot their proximity to some of KL's most notable landmarks, including the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, the National Monument, and the National Planetarium. Visitors can enjoy a tour of all the attractions within the Heritage Park via shuttle trains between 09:00 and 18:00, with tickets priced at RM6 for adults and RM2 for children.

 












Laman Perdana
In the middle of the main gardens, where the three main roads coming from the three entrances meet, there is a square where events and activities were carried out. It is a central area and located close to the boathouse and with ample space, it is a perfect area for gatherings.








Sunken Garden
The Sunken Garden is a parterre garden made simply out of various of shrubs with addition of flowering annuals on the slopes. Addition of Grecian pots, containing riot of colorful petunias add to the elegant beauty of the garden. In the center of the circular garden is a star- shaped fountain, and dotted around this garden are white Grecian containers carrying flowering annuals.

  Surau Langgar Rindu (Musolla) (Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia) This surau located in Kampung Rhu Tapai, Merang, Kuala Terengganu was built to be immortalized as a house of worship for the local community as well as a stopover for those who travel to perform prayers. This 1,064 square foot surau actually belongs to an art activist named Encik Arif Karimi, who is 60 years old plus a poet as well as an art activist . Wasted tembesu tree wood as well as cengal wood donated by the public are used as the basic building material of this creation which is simply fastened and connected using screws. More amazingly, the construction work of the surau was built without any sketch of the plan started since March 2014 and is now complete. Sometimes the construction of this surau is disrupted due to financial problems, but he feels grateful because his intention to build this surau got support from all  individual coming from other places who came forward to donate cash or building materials. Goddess Of Mercy Temple (Penang, Malaysia) The Goddess Of Mercy temple is also known as Kuan Yin Teng – is a place of pride and divine protection. It is the oldest temple in Penang, built way back in 1728 by Chinese immigrants, it was originally named Kong Hok Keong Temple and initially meant for hosting of social functions.
